My Savior

I am not skilled to understand
What God has willed what God has planned
I only know at His right hand
Stands one who is my Savior

I take Him at His word and deed
Christ died to save me this I read
And in my heart I find a need
Of Him to be my Savior

That He would leave His place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You count it strange so once did I
Before I knew my Savior

My Savior loves
my Savior lives
My Savior's always there for me
My God He was,
my God He is,
My God He's always gonna be...

My Savior loves
my Savior lives
My Savior's always there for me
My God He was,
my God He is,
My God He's always gonna be...

Yes living dying let me bring
My strength, my solace from this spring
That He who lives to be my king
Once died to be my Savior

That He would leave His place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You count it strange so once did I
Before I knew my Savior

My Savior loves
my Savior lives
My Savior's always there for me
My God He was,
my God He is,
My God He's always gonna be...

So I've heard this song eighty-one thousand times on the radio, but for some reason, when the choir sang this song at Panorama (Eric and I watched it on the internet) it hit me in such a different way. I can't even explain it. Maybe the difference was seeing it sung as opposed to just hearing it sung, but it is now one of my absolute favorite songs. The NEVER changing attributes of God amaze me!

I love the line "you count it strange so once did I".
It reminds me of our Japanese Christian friend Jun who tells us now.. "I can't believe I used to make fun of how y'all could believe in something so crazy, and now I believe it too!"
Love you Christi!
