My husband, the body builder

So my husband now has the idea in his head that he is FAT. Oh goodness, the boy couldn’t be fat if he “Supersized Me” his whole life. But I guess he just means he is in worse shape than he was in his college days. I must say he was a physical specimen back then, but he is just as handsome now. Regardless of what I say, the boy is on a workout kick. Which is always a good thing, I have been trying to get back into my workout routine this last month or so myself so now we can do it together! Look out for the new and improved TYNERS!!

Oh I have the cutest story. Justin has been mentoring a 13 year old boy named Joey through Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He is a really sweet kid that gets so excited when justin calls that he stutters uncontrollably. Well, every Monday Justin works his 12 hour day as usual at work and then drives 45 minutes straight from work and picks up Joey. They get some dinner and go do fun activities, like movies, go carts, arcades, etc. Then Justin drives Joey back home, has to visit with his grandparents a little bit (that is who Joey lives with). And then makes the long drive back home. He is never home before 10:30. It really wears him out but he wants so badly to help Joey that he keeps at it. Well lately, Justin has been really stressed…….about sooo many things. He doesn’t have time for ANYTHING, hardly me even it seems. So he decided that he would talk to Joey and Big Brothers/Big Sisters and try to get Joey a new big brother, Justin still wanted to see Joey at least once a month, but he feels he can’t put the time into it that Joey really needs. So he goes to talk to the organization yesterday and they inform him that if he were to back out, Joey would not be paired with anyone else…….because Justin was Joey’s third big brother, and there is some kind of limits and what not. Anyway, there is NO way Justin could do that to him in the first place. But then the lady started telling Justin how Joey has progressed while he has been mentoring him. He is enrolled in all honors classes for school next year, he was flunking before. His grandparents have seen a difference in his attitude, and he told the coordinator he wanted to join the Golf team……….this is a little borderline Gothic kid, who has never picked up a golf club, nor watched a golf match in his life, but you know who is an avid golfer??? Justin! Justin didn’t know Joey had said he wanted to do this, that was the first time he had heard that news. And his heart sank because he KNEW why Joey wanted to play on the golf team. Heck, when Justin and him go out to eat, he always makes Justin order first, and then orders the EXACT same thing, everytime. You never know how much influence you have, you never really do. So needless to say, Justin is sticking with it. It’s so hard on him I know. So please pray for God to place a calmness in his spirit and release the extra stress this may bring. One day he’ll have a jewel in his crown for the time he spends with Joey……..

On another note, here is a poem Chrissy sent me written by Judge Roy Moore. He lived right down the street from me in good ‘ol Bama. Some of you may be wondering what Judge Roy Moore has been doing since he was removed from the bench for refusing to remove the 10 Commandments from his courtroom wall. Please read the poem he wrote below. Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama. The judge's poem sums it up quite well.
America the Beautiful,
or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride;
I'm glad they'll never see.

Babies piled in dumpsters,
Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty;
your house is on the sand.

Our children wander aimlessly
poisoned by cocaine,
Choosing to indulge their lusts,
when God has said abstain.

From sea to shining sea,
our Nation turns away
From the teaching of God's love
and a need to always pray.

We 've kept God in our temples,
how callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool,
and Heaven is His throne.

We've voted in a government
that's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges
who throw reason out the door,

Too soft to place a killer
in a well deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby
before he leaves the womb.

You think that God's not angry,
that our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait
before His judgment comes?

How are we to face our God,
from Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do,
but stem this evil tide?

If we who are His children,
will humbly turn and pray;
Seek His holy face
and mend our evil way:

Then God will hear from Heaven
and forgive us of our sins,
He'll heal our sickly land
and those who live within.

But, America the Beautiful,
if you don't - then you will see,
A sad but Holy God
withdraw His hand from Thee.

All right class, sit down and behave!

I know I just posted like yesterday or something but, I actually wrote that post a few days ago, just didn’t have time to put it up here. So, I’m back at it again.

Update on Prissy’s ear, it’s looking much much better. I just hate chasing that little rat for 30 minutes every morning and night to put her drops in there. She’s fast! But as long as she is getting better, it’s all worth it.

Monday night was cleaning night while Justin went to play with Joey again. He actually came home really early this time, since we didn’t get to spend ANY time together this weekend. I was glad to see him, we had FUN together! wink wink
Then Tuesday night I had my first softball practice this season with the Olive team. We hit some rounds at the batting cages and mingled a bit. There are a few ladies on my team again this year from last. I’m happy about that. But the league has gotten really small because everyone doesn’t want to travel to Pace to play……that’s crap! I traveled to Pcola to play last year (oh yeah, I lived in Pcola last year, nevermind). Anyway, I’m excited about playing again, I missed Basketball season at the church this year, I was really upset to find that out. Maybe next year though! Mini trauma: I can’t find my softball glove that I have had since I was in 5th grade! I honestly cannot catch without it, I foresee a lot of dropped balls at first base…….oh no, pray that God levitates it to me.

Wednesday was church as usual but I really feel wasted while we are there now. Well, not that our Marketing class was the most useful thing ever, but at least we had a room and kids to meet with. Now it is chaos with the high schoolers, the middle schoolers moved to the Warehouse at 6 now so the high schoolers don’t really know where to go, neither do we. So we just hung out in Rosseau Hall with them last week, but I feel like we are just glorified babysitters in there. So this week, we go to Rosseau Hall and NO ONE is there. Oh man, I would love to teach a discipleship class on Wednesday nights like I did last year. But with Sunday school too…..it would be too much. So I will wait until next year and hopefully get a girls bible study together on Wednesdays and actually go to a Sunday school class with my husband instead of teaching one. Yeah, that is what I am going to do.

Okay, so now it is today and I am at work =( But I have semi-exciting news, I’m going to be a teacher. Well, I want to be anyway. Who knew all those math and computer classes would actually pay off, haha. I just really feel a strong pulling that tells me this is God’s provision for me. I mean, I looked at the requirements for being a high school math teacher or a computer science teacher and I had every single requirement already. I didn’t even know, and I kept saying how I would really like to be a teacher but I didn’t want to have to go back to school for it………God really does supply all your needs, but better yet, he wants to give me my desires. And I believe in his capability to do just that. So I am trying to figure out exactly how to get certified and all the paperwork I need to do and what schools are hiring. I would love a job in Santa Rosa, since it’s where I live ya know. So, keep that in your prayers for sure. I can’t even fathom having summers off! Hello beach, here I come!

Today I got to eat lunch with my Jus today. We NEVER get to do that, he’s always so busy that he has to just grab something. But today he took the time to sit with me at a restaurant and just talk and laugh and eat burritos dangit. I do thank God for that little bit of time we got today. That boy is so special to my heart.
Well, the plan for tonight, Toby, Emily, and Beth are coming over to watch either a movie or old SNL clips, so we can laugh our ever lovin’ heads off! And then we’re ordering pizza! Let the good times roll!

and they call it a sausage festival??

Ok, so if you don’t have a whole lot of time right now, then walk away from my blog. I’m warning you, it’s gonna be a long one!
So, Friday was Matt and Kristen’s wedding. It was so classy; would you expect anything else from Kristen?? The flowers were my favorite…..the hugest lilies ever, so simple, but just beautiful. Well, right when I arrived Justin sent me on 20,000 errands and I was going crazy. But finally we all got seated and the music started. Matt was the most nervous groom I have ever seen but I have also never seen a man light up like that when his bride made her entrance. Justin said of all the years of knowing Matt, he has never seen that same expression on his face. We sat on the groom’s side so we had the best view of Kristen and her reaction. She was absolutely giddy, she was trying so hard to keep a straight face but she kept just erupting with the biggest smiles you have ever seen.

The weather was gorgeous and we had no planes or trains……I’d say that’s a definite blessing! Then we moved onto the reception. I again was amazed at the flowers, those were the most awesome centerpieces, I mean just huge!

We all had so much fun eating and laughing and talking that I believe we were again branded the “loud” table. Oh well, as long as we are enjoying ourselves, what’s the harm. We had jumbo stuffed shrimp with crabmeat, which I actually pretty much liked! Soon the lovely couple was ready to rush off to the honeymoon and we wished them farewell with bubbles. I heard later that Kristen got sick in the wee hours of the morning and they had to push their flight to Hawaii back to Sunday……I hope see feels better and I can’t wait till they get home so we can hear all about it! After the reception a bunch of people we going out on the town but frankly we were tired so we decided to go home and relax and watch a movie. We sent the boys out to pick up the movie and they came back with “Just Friends” a romantic comedy……I was thoroughly impressed. Although it could have been that Tara was coaching them via cell the whole time………haha.

Then it was Saturday morning and Audge, Kerrie, Kristi and I were off to the beach. I was so afraid it was going to be cold but it was sooo warm. We got lots of sun and just relaxed. I missed the beach so much. Toby soon joined and then Dallas and his sisters (who were in town from Wisconsin) came to visit us. We all decided to head to Bagelheads for lunch. Man, was that more trouble than we thought, turns out Audrey missed her turn and we thought she went to a different Bagelheads so we got back in the car and went to the one on the bay and turns out she showed up at the one we had just left from. As we were pulling out of the second Bagelheads, we see Audrey and Kerrie riding by honking…….haha. It was quite the adventure. So then we all went our separate ways. But not for long, Audge and Kerrie came over to my house so we could get glamorized for the hockey game. We all headed out and met up with Tori and her little sister who is basically a hockey super fan. The game was fun cause there were lots of fights and the team mascot basically hit on Audrey! Haha. Plus, Kenli won a pizza for being the loudest fan……big surprise! Haha (p.s. I still did not get a slice of that dang pizza) Afterwards we met up with Dallas’s sisters and waited for him to wash his stinky self after the game. Then we HAD to take them to McGuire’s because they had never been. Kristi and I charmed our waiter into opening up the back room with the big circle table and HE DID! Dinner was a hoot, we had so much fun and I just basically LOVE Dallas’s sisters. They are sooo stinkin’ cute and just as much witty too! Not to mention there was lots of love for JC at that table. We didn’t get home until after 1am so I was so tired. P.S. Justin and Kurt were in Niceville all day for some training sessions for work so that is why we were gallivanting without them………just so you know. Then Sunday we got up bright and early for Sunday school at 8am and I was TIRED! Man, but the lesson went great and then service was right on as usual. We ran home just in time for Kurt to drop by and he and Justin ran off to play a round of golf with their boss. Meanwhile, Audrey, Kerrie and I headed off to the Sausage festival in Beulah! Yeee haw! It was so fun. We milled around at all the little shops and I got me a new cow girl hat. Dallas and his sisters soon arrived and we met up with them just before the Phil Vasser concert started. I guess my hat was super hotttttt, cause Dallas said he liked it so much he went and bought one. So we were basically twinkies the whole night. One of the sisters took a twinkie picture but I don’t have a copy of it…….oh well, you’ll just have to imagine. We all had fun dancing and singing and acting goofy in general. And chuckling every time we heard the work “sausage festival” it just doesn’t sound right…….maybe we aren’t mature enough for the Johnson fest! Hhahahha. Then the concert was over and we bid Dallas, Emily and Beth goodbye. As we are on our way home Justin and Kurt called and tell Audrey to drop me off at Applebee’s so I can eat with them. Little did I know that Dallas, Emily and Beth were coming too! Hahah. So it wasn’t goodbye after all! But Audge and Kerrie had to get on the road in order to make it back to Tally in time =(. We all ate dinner and laughed and talked as usual and I got to spend some much needed time with my hubby. I missed him so much this weekend! Soon we were on our way home……I was so glad to spend the rest of the night just me and my Jus……..

Well, bad news…….Prissy’s ear just started bleeding and I was freaking out. I called Toby and she agreed to come get her and take her to the vet. She has another infection. They think it may be allergies but they are giving me drops just like before. Oh I hope she feels better I just love that dog. So keep my baby cakes in your prayers.

Kiss Me, I'm Irish!

Well, let’s see……….Monday night was filled with TaeBo and Prissy. Two of which DO NOT go together. For some reason when I’m jumping around in my living room Prissy thinks this is solely for her entertainment, and that mommy MUST be playing a game with her. So she proceeds to attack my legs over and over and over again. It gets extremely old and it is just a matter of time before I donkey kick the poor thing…….I guess then she’ll learn!? Justin spent Monday night with his “little brother” Joey. They grabbed some grub and caught a movie. Joey lives soooo far away and Justin is always home so late when they hang out. But it’s for the good of the child I guess (sigh).

Tuesday was another great day at work and then I had lots to do to get everything ready for Kristen’s lingerie shower the next night. So after work I went to get carpet cleaner from Mr. Oreck, stopped by the tanning bed, went to the church to run, went grocery shopping (while I was still stinky might I add) and then went to Charlie and Rachel’s to pick up the steam cleaner. Whew! Oh but that was only the beginning. I then had to go home, clean like a mad woman, sweep mop, vacuum, decorate. But I got Justin to steam clean the carpet while I made the “panty shaped” sandwiches (I’ll elaborate later on that). We were so tired and were soo ready to hit the sack.

Then Wednesday came and it was shower day! After work Toby and Jen came over to help with the finishing touches and bring their respective supplies.

We got the cutest cake from The Cake Shop, it looked a lot like my friend Tara’s at her bachelorette party but this one was PINK! So our theme was “A Panty Party” and we of course took it to the extreme! I made little streamers of thongs strung together with pretty little ribbons and hung them like banners………haha, they were sooo cute! And then we had all kinds of good food, and all showers have their little finger sandwiches right, well I figured we should make them themeable also. So I slaved away at cutting each of them in the shape of underwear. So when the girls at the shower asked, “did you cut those by hand or did you have some kind of a cutter?” I could amaze them by proclaiming I did them all by hand (which I did) or amaze them by somehow finding a “panty shaped” cutter (who sells those?) haha.
And all the guests, instead of attaching a card to their gifts instead attached a pair of panties to their presents and Kristen had to guess who each of them was from…….she got them ALL wrong! Everything turned out fabulously.

Last night was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.

Oh my gosh I laughed so hard and I can’t even remember what for. My table was branded the LOUD table for sure…….oh well, it’s a curse I live with.

I got to play with little Jackson and brainwash him into thinking my name was “pretty”………I’m desperate here! Hah. After the dinner the boys came back to our house for the bachelor party, which I, of course was banned from. They sounded like they were having fun though. Justin didn’t come to bed till 4am! And Matt got to spend his last night as a single man in our guest bedroom (tear). I’m excited and can wait for work to be over today so I can go celebrate with them.

So today is the big wedding. It’s going to be so sweet I know. Me and Matt talked a little last night about their love story and how he pined away for Kristen for years after high school. No girl was ever good enough, and no one would EVER measure up to her in his heart or mind. So he let her go and like they say……..true love always comes back. I’m so glad for him. He is just complete now, God blessed his patience I guess. It really is like a fairytale.

Sidenote: I got Prissy a new shirt that says “Kiss me I’m Irish!” with bling and all, but Kristen won’t let her wear it to the wedding……..she almost freaked when I told her Prissy was coming, hahahhaah! But she WILL wear it!

Happy St. Patrick’s day friends…..and Happy bday Brent!

p.s. I'm soooo excited my little Audge and Kerrie are coming to spend the WHOLE weekdend with me, hip hip hooray!

There's no place like home

Oh my goodness, this weekend was fabulous! I missed everyone sooo much. So let’s re-cap so I can re-live all those wonderful memories again.

Okay so Friday Justin’s brother came in town from Memphis so Justin was dying to see him of course. So we rushed home from work, packed up the Solstice, and headed towards Bama. But we stopped along the way to eat at the Farmer’s Opry house in Chumuckla with Charlie, Rachel, Angie, Jackson, Bubba, and Jo. It was good to see all them and I know Justin was so excited about seeing Jon finally. Well, we couldn’t stay too long because we had a 3 hour drive ahead of us. So we said our goodbyes and headed north. Prissy was such a good girl on the ride up, she just slept in my lap. How sweet! We finally arrived at about 9:30ish. Mom and dad came out and saw the new car and then Jessica and all her friends got home and Sharry and Josh came by to say hey. We just kinda relaxed and talked for a while, well except for Justin and Josh. They spent the night laughing histerically at “Chuck Norris facts”, which is Justin’s new favorite website (chucknorrisfacts.com). The website really is the stupidest thing but I will admit after reading a few of them I was laughing pretty hard also. Well, we wrapped up the night and hit the sack. P.S. Justin is soooooo sick. He got a little better and then way worse.

So the next morning Jess and I woke up and got ready to go shopping! I let Justin sleep in cause he just wasn’t feeling well at all, plus the boy does not like to shop. So little sis and I hit up the stores and got us some new bathing suits for spring break (like I have a spring break??) and some cute little hobo necklaces. We stopped and ate a great lunch at O’Charleys and then spotted some kids from the high school putting on a car wash. Turns out it was the kids in the Mu Alpha Theta (Math honor society) which I was a proud member of in high school (how much of a dork does that make me sound like?). Anyway, I remember doing those dang car washes for Softball, Cheerleading, basketball, FCA, Mu Alpha Theta……..and the list goes on. We were some car washin’ fools. Needless to say I felt their pain so I let them wash the new car…..it really needed it. And I tried to give them a good chunk of change. After two minutes they proclaimed they were finished with my car, I was surprised but jumped in and drove off. It didn’t take long to remind me that these were high school students and not professional car washers….haha. All those water spots showed up on the black paint……it looked worse than when I took it over there………hahahaha. But I didn’t really stop for the car wash ya know, but to support the children. So, I got over it and had Justin squeegee the windows. Well, Jess and I finally got back home where Justin was still just laying there with his sick self. But I got him up and we hurried to get ready for Brian’s wedding. We rode up to the B’ham, it was on Samford university campus, which I love because it is stinkin gorgeous up there. It was seriously the CUTEST wedding. Brian was just giddy and his “future” wife looked fabulous, just beautiful. After the bride was given away the whole congregation got to stand up and sing “How Great is Our God”………..Praise the Lord, that is mine and Justin’s FAVORITE song of the moment. It’s a great great great song! Then they had a singer, his name was Jerrell Horton (I think that is what he said it was anyway) and he was quite possibly the BEST singer of all times. The man could blow! Oh gosh, his voice was amazing. It was just the sweetest wedding. And I got to see Kefus, whom I love with all my little heart. He just smiles so big when I see him, I like it. I also got to sit by Tiffany and talk to her and her friend Holly for a while before the wedding started. It was fun. It was kind of a big class reunion. It was so fun, and for the first time in a long time, it made me miss high school a little bit. Aw.
Well, then Jus and I were off to see Brandy, Jeff, Tyler, Cole, Cory and Tatum at the ball field. Tyler had a baseball game up in B’ham so we decided to stop in and visit with them for a while. We got to see Tyler play some ball and then we all went to McDonald’s to eat. Justin and Jeff rode there in the Solstice with the top down, no doubt they thought they were lady-magnets……….but that’s okay because what guy wouldn’t want two girls in an SUV filled with 4 kids and bumper stickers which each of their names on the back! Hahah. Well, we had a good time visiting and then Justin and I headed back to P’ville to visit the rest of the family. After we got back to mom and dad’s house KC, Stephanie, Megan, Chase, and little Brodie came over. Yay. I got to meet him for the first time and he is seriously sooo cute.

He is the littlest baby of all times! I just wanted to squeeze him, but I decided against that. I got to feed him and play with him for as long as I wanted. I just love him. Although it was nice to pass him off to his mommy and daddy when the diaper got a little poopy! Haha. I just love that little Brodie C! Then KC, Megan and I took a ride in the car with the top down. Megan was thoroughly impressed and wanted to do it over and over again. She proclaimed that she had $85 saved up and she was gonna buy a “mustang” like mine…………haha, any convertible is a “mustang” to her! Funny stuff. Of course after she came in talking about it, Chase wanted to ride in it too. He is so stinkin cute, he just kept coming up to me and telling me how much fun he had……….soo so so cute. He Loves prissy! A little too much, he kept chasing her and squeezing her and all the things little kids who love dogs do……..and she was running for her life! The night was getting late and Kc and them were packing up to go home when Sharry and Josh stopped by for a minute. Sharry refuses to try on her wedding dress for me…….she said it looks dumb without the slip, dangit, I really wanted to see it! Well, Sunday morning Jus and I woke up at like 8:30 thinking we would have plenty of time to get ready and make it to the 11 service with my fam. Oh but when I walked up stairs everyone was already dressed and ready to go, which was strange. Mom then informed me that they now go to the contemporary service at 9:30……..crap. So Justin and I hurried to get ready and made it to church a little late, but we made it none the less. Brandy and her clan were there, which I was sooo happy to see! And I finally got to see Tatum crawl and she can stand up right in the middle of the floor, she’s going to be running in no time! We went to eat at Longhorn afterwards where we ran into Mrs. Wurtz! Yay. I haven’t seen her in forever. On the way home we let my mom and dad take the Solstice for a ride with the top down. We were only 15 minutes away from home but it somehow took maw and paw over 30 minutes to get home…..???? haha, they went for a joy ride. Well, after they got back Justin and I jumped in and rode up to Applebee’s to see Keith, TuTu and her new husband. Oh my gosh, I haven’t seen that girl in FOREVER, she is still same old crazy Tootles. I love her. I love being with her and Keith because I laugh so hard it hurts………oh and Tutu’s husband has to be the cutest sweetest man alive, he’s from Africa, so I felt comfortable being that Ruco’s African influence has been around for so long now. Haha. Justin liked those rascals a lot. He was laughing at them and their crazy stories. Him and Keith went for a ride in the car while Tootles and I hung out in the parking lot (that’s what cool kids do in case you didn’t know). It just felt like home again. I loved it. We soon headed back home and took a short nap before our long drive back. We sat around and talked a little longer but then we had to be off. Prissy was sad to say goodbye to Grannie and Papa but, she had to do it. Haha. We made it home and watched the season finale of “The Flavor of Love” and we were so excited that Hoopz won! Yeah, what’s up New York! Justin picked her from the beginning. I still want Goldie to come up in there and represent. We are definitely tuning into the “Reunion special” next week! Yayyy.

Okay so I am back at work now and the next thing on my mind is Kristen’s lingerie shower on Wednesday. I think we have everything planned out and all the RSVP’s so it’s going to be fun I know. Tonight is workout, workout, workout! Hope everyone has a fabulous day!

Going home, going home, never more to roam.....

Well, I am here at work being very bored. So what else can I do but write a blog?

Last night was Thursday night bowling as usual, nothing too spectacular went down, just good ‘ol fun like always. Kristen wasn’t there cause she has to spend every waking minute for the next week getting everything ready for the wedding. It really is only one week away! Woah. I remember very vividly her complaining that she was NOT going to be able to wait 3 whole months for the wedding day……….wow it flew by, for me anyway. You could tell Matt was antsy and nervous at bowling last night. The poor boy is dealing with a lot of stress, as if a wedding wasn’t enough to stress anyone out, he has school (I believe it is mid-term season) and work. Oh but I know he is so excited to be marrying the love of his life. That boy has always been hooked on that girl, and now he gets to marry her. It’s just great.

Anyway, today work is going as well as work can go I guess…….I’m just so excited because we are going up to spend the weekend with my fam……..ahhhhhhhhh, I just want to scream. I finally get to see Sharry in her wedding dress, get to talk to Jess a little more about coming to UWF, I get to show everyone my new car, and I get to see all my little nieces and nephews (who Justin has proclaimed grow up way faster than his nieces and nephews…….haha) Oh my gosh, I bet Tatum is crawling and probably walking now, I bet she can talk (well as well as babies talk) I can’t wait to see those munchkins! Oh yeah and everyone else too, especially mom and dad. Prissy misses her Grannie and Papa. I don’t think I realize yet, how hard it is gonna be living away from them once we have kids. Me and that kid are going to be traveling up there like every other weekend dangit! Haha. Jon came in town today spontaneously, so we are gonna stop by Charlie and Rachel’s to eat with them on our way out. But we have to hurry………cause we are already gonna be there sooo late and I NEVER get to see my family. I want every minute that we can get.
This weekend one of my best friends from high school is getting married, Brian. Hahaha, we were best friends in early elementary school. I was the only girl at his birthday parties and he was the only boy at mine………kinda weird I know. We used to play at our big brothers’ baseball games by looking for frogs….how country are we?? Haha. I am so happy he found an awesome girl and they both love Jesus sooo much! And Keith is going to be in the wedding! So I get to play with him too, well at the reception anyway. I miss that boy so much……he’s just been with me through everything, since kindergarten, ya know. He’s the type of friend that just knows you, haha. During Christmas time I started crocheting some little scarves and all my friends and Justin were so shocked that I knew how to crochet………it just hit me then how little people really know about you, unless they’ve been there, ya know. Anyway, I called Keith immediately to tell him I was crocheting scarves and he started rattling off memories of how every year we used to stay up for 48 hours straight crocheting blankets for the homeless, “Warm up America”! hahahah I had forgotten about that. Anyway, that was a random tangent……….. I’m just so excited about going home.

Oh good news for our regular guests………Justin said I can take our entire tax refund and buy a nice new dining set, oh man we need it so bad! He got tired of hearing me complain how no one can sit down, hahaha. And next on our list is getting Justin some new manlier tires for his new truck.

he was a good Taco.......

I’m sooo sick! Well, actually not that bad anymore. Yesterday was horrible though. I had so many things going on I didn’t know which one to focus on…….the headache, the runny nose, the somehow stuffy head although my nose was running violently (I’ll never understand how that works), the sore throat, or the unbearably scratchy voice. Whew, it was painful re-living all that. Well today I still feel stuffy and my nose is still a bit runny, but my voice is 100 times better and my head doesn’t hurt as much. So Yay! I’m back at work today, which is not something I would normally cheer about but being that I am one of those physco people who hate to be locked up alone in the house all day……..today is an improvement from yesterday. Hah.

So, we sold the Grand Am and Justin got his new truck too! It’s big and manly like he wanted, and the best part is it has 4 wheel drive (which he insisted on), it has a cool grill guard, and dual exhaust, which makes for manly sounds. Anyway, he is happy he has a truck again. I’m so happy for him. I’ll take pictures tonight and post them tomorrow hopefully. The company Taurus is awesome (cuz it’s free and new) but it just didn’t suit my Jus real well. Also yesterday, Angie and Jackson got into town and Jackson is amazing. He isn’t even 2 yet and he can talk like a maniac! He can repeat everything you say word for word, which makes for interesting baby talk at times. Joanna proclaimed “By God!” and here comes little Jackson in the background, “By God!”……..HAHAHHA. Hilarious he is! He can say everyone’s name even those of us he hasn’t seen in a long time. But the best thing he said so far this week is when someone asked him my name he replied “Pretty girl”……….oh yeah, the boy knows his women…yeah right, Ms. Joy had called me that right before he said it, dangit! I’m still trying to get “Aunt Wonderful” to stick. We’ll see if I am successful. I was trying not to breathe on the kid so he didn’t get THE CRUD. Also, Madessa (sp?) tore it up on American Idol….she’s our favorite, she had been lovin’ some Jesus! And she has spunk dangit. Justin was so sick last night that after we ate dinner at Ms. Joy’s house he fell asleep at 9:00 and stayed asleep until this morning! Wow, he’s getting’ old.

Today has been good so far. It is such a gorgeous day that I got to ride with my top down during the whole lunch break….yay! I can’t wait to take that thing to the beach. For some reason I have a strong desire for my sister to come down here and ride to the beach with me in it………haha, random but I always think of that. Okay so now I am back at work and my hair is in knots cause I just let it flow while I was driving…..I just didn’t care, it was great and I lost a taco on the way back………flew right out of the car, dang, at least I devoured my burrito before we had two victims, although if I hadn’t maybe their combined weights could have kept the bag from flying out…….who knows?? For now all we can do is mourn poor paco the taco…….

Well, tonight is church. Since Jon is taking over high school for a while I think our discipleship classes are changing……I’m not sure if Justin and I are still teaching or not?? Guess we’ll find out tonight. I think that next year we are gonna try to teach discipleship on Wednesday nights and get in our own Sunday school class on Sunday mornings……..this twice a week stuff is getting kinda tough. Plus I don’t want us to be un-fed ourselves, ya know?? Well, tomorrow is bowling night as usual and I think Tor and Ruco are gonna join this time. Oh yeah, and I filed our taxes yesterday, looks like somebody’s getting a big tax return this year!!!!! I think Justin is gonna make us save it though………that’s no fun. If not, everyone’s coming out to dinner with us!! hahah

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUS!

Okay so Thursday we went bowling, as usual, and this time Dallas graced us with his presence again. There were no 298’s but Justin did bowl a 220 (which is pretty standard for the professional bowlers we accompany ourselves with) haha. Saturday Justin, Kurt, Matt and some men from Justin’s work played in a golf tournament for a local Christian school. And Justin’s team won!! Yeah, he’s my little Tiger Woods, but what I was the most excited about was the fact that the boy got a little sun………he was starting to resemble a certain friendly ghost. While they were busy swinging away Toby and I car-pooled to Kristen’s bridal shower at the Lincke’s house. I seriously love Beverly Lincke. Kristen constantly tells each of us that we remind her of each other…….and now I see why. She is just a bit crazy retarded at times. Haha, I love it. It was a beautiful shower and we had a lot of fun with Kristen. The Lincke’s just got a new puppy name Cassie and Beverly entertained us all with stories of how the dog always pees on Shane and he therefore hates the pup! Hahah. Soon Shane graced us with his presence and I schooled him on how dogs can sense the Alpha male and therefore submit to him but peeing……..it’s weird but we had the same problem with Prissy and Justin so, I did some research. But the place where most men mess up is they yell at the poor thing for peeing……..which re-enforces that fact that they are the Alpha male and causes the dog to pee more (it’s a vicious cycle). I just told him he has to stop yelling at the dog! Haha

By the time we were finished the boys were home from their tournament and our youth boys were already starting to arrive at our house………….oh yeah minor detail, Justin invited all the boys in the youth group to our house for a night of UFC fighting on PPV (again!) and yes, as always, they spent the night. Soooo, we all watched the fights, I tucked away to the office periodically to relieve myself of the pure testosterone in the room. I was in there finishing the minor details of Justin and Kurt’s surprise birthday party the next day. Soon I went to bed and they of course stayed up all night.

So Sunday morning came and Sunday school and church went great. We all went to eat at Sonny’s and ran into the Jernigan’s so we all joined into one big group. Toby and I sent out invitations last week to Justin and Kurt’s surprise birthday party. It said for everyone to be at my house at 12:30 (which is when we usually get back from lunch). So we finished our food at Sonny’s rather quickly and it was still like way before 12. Toby and I entered panic mode. We needed to stall and stall hard. We are all obviously done with our food yet Toby tries to convince Kurt she is still eating her beans. As she shovels them into her mouth one at a time, hahaha. He was not impressed and decided he was going ahead to pay for the meal without her. I then accidentally (no really it was an accident) knocked over my drink, which took Justin a good 5 minutes to clean up, then I told the boys I had ice from the drink in my purse and I needed to go to the bathroom and clean it out………where I proceeded to stand there and waste time as little old ladies came in and out, each of which asked me what I was doing standing there. Soon Toby joined me in my bathroom hideout. She said, “I told them I got some tea on my shoe so I needed to come clean it.” We just sat in the bathroom and laughed, but after about 15 minutes we knew they would soon come in after us, so I sent Toby out with the message that I wasn’t feeling well and they could wait for me by the car. Again, I could only do this for so long so I came out, but we were still like 15 minutes ahead of schedule. So on the way we tried everything to get one of them to stop for something………but we then realized our husbands are determined and difficult. So nevertheless we arrived 15 minutes early, yeah before the guests! Haha. Jeremy, Kristin and little Nathan were walking down the road (cause they parked at a neighbor’s house) when we pulled up. I saw them and quickly turned Justin’s attention the other way, luckily he didn’t see them and when we got out of the car I looked back to see if they were coming and they disappeared. Just then I saw Jeremy’s head pop up over a nearby truck that they hid behind………haha. When we walked in Justin and Kurt saw all the decoarations and the cake and all, and they knew what was going on. Just then Jeremy and them walked in, Charlie drove up, and Ben drove up……it’s like they were all hiding in the bushes. So the surprise went pretty well after all! We all had fun eating our goldfish (going along with the fishing theme). And Toby and I gave Kurt and Justin their chartered fishing trips!! They were excited needless to say, and due to the fact that Justin and Ben never go fishing without each other………Sam got Ben in on the trip too! Haha. Those boys are gonna have tons of fun. We got them the longest trip ever, eight whole hours! Well we finished the party by eating cake and drinking our blue kool-aid. Ms. Joy and Jo showed up toward the end. I am so mad that I forgot to take any pictures…….I really am soooo sad about that. Everything was so cute, thanks Matt and Kristen for decorating for us! After all the guests left Justin and I cuddled up for our Sunday nap and boy did we need it. We are both getting sick. Justin has a worse immune system than I do (I think it is due to his addiction and dependence on NyQuil) so his sickness is progressing faster and worse than mine. But I’m slowly catching up.

Well, today is justin’s birthday! Happy bday my love! He and his dad take the day off of work and go fishing every year for his birthday so that is where he is right now……fishing, no doubt getting sicker and sicker by the minute! Well, in honor of his birthday I have a little poem/Brad Paisley song that I changed the words too! Haha

he's a yellow pair of running shoes

A dirty pair of jeans
he looks great in cheap sunglasses
he looks great in anything
he's I want a piece of chocolate
Let’s rent a movie
he's I can't find any clean clothes
Now and then he's moody

he's a truck with a toolbox
With his brown hair a-blowing
he's a soft place to land
And a good feeling knowing
he's a warm conversation
That I wouldn't miss for nothing
he's a fighter when he's mad
And he's a lover when he's lovin’

And he's everything I ever wanted
And everything I need
when talk about him, I go on and on and on
'Cause he's everything to me

he's a Saturday out on the town
And a church boy on Sunday
he's a cross around his neck
And not a cuss word 'cause its Monday’
he's a bubble bath and candles
Baby come and kiss me
he's a one glass of coke
And he's feeling kinda frisky

he's the giver I wish I could be
And the stealer of the covers
he's a picture in my wallet
Of my unborn children's father
he's the hand that I'm holding
When I'm on my knees and praying
he's the answer to my prayer
And he's the song that I'm playing

he's the voice I love to hear
Someday when I'm ninety
he's that wooden rocking chair
I want rocking right beside me
Everyday that passes
I only love him more
Yeah, he's the one
That I'd lay down my own life for

And he's everything I ever wanted
And everything I need
he's everything to me
Yeah he's everything to me

Everything I ever wanted
And everything I need
he's everything to me

It's not a question people, it's a proclamation!

The splendor of the king
Clothed in Majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
Let all the earth rejoice

He wraps himself in light
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at his voice
And trembles at his voice

How great is our God
Sing with me
How great is our God
And all will see
How great, how great
Is our God

Age to age he stands
And time is in his hands
Beginning and the end
Beginning and the end

The godhead three in one
Father spirit and son
The lion and the lamb
The lion and the lamb

How great is our God
Sing with me
How great is our God
And all will see
How great, how great
Is our God

Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God

Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God

How great is our God
Sing with me
How great is our God
And all will see
How great, how great
Is our God

How great, how great
Is our God

How great, how great
Is our God
